American Nebbiolo?

Because I like to try in general, I picked up this 2008 Nebbiolo from Giornata Wines out of Templeton, CA. Many say that Americans can't make Nebbiolo properly, the same as we can't make Proscuitto di Parma either. I agree that great Barolo and Proscuitto di Parma are only made in Italy, but if Giornata keeps making this Nebbiolo as well as it does, I'm going to continue to drink it.
