I drank a lot of this stuff in Emilia Romagna. When it's hot, it's either Lambrusco or Rosato. Lambrusco pairs well with salty meats. Lambrusco got a bad rap in the 70's with the "Riunite on Ice, So Nice" campaign. Lambrusco does NOT have to be sweet or cloying, but you may have to pay more than $5 for it.
