Had the prime rib dinner last night (duh), complete with creamed corn, creamed spinach, mashed potato with gravy, yorkshire pudding and paired with a Grgich Hills 2006 Zinfandel. Topped off dinner with a New York cheesecake. A real institution for locals and tourists and packed on a Tuesday night. Hand-carved prime rib, cut table-side by Francisco; floor managers who have been with the restaurant since inception constantly walking around touching each of their customers. Service staff in tuxedos, smiling at every table and always checking on their stations. Oh, and bartenders that make a nice Gin Martini (as if there were any other kind?) What is not to love about this place??
