From the Tehachapi Mountains, in the Great American West, there is a specialty wine and cheese shop serving some outstanding wines and delicious food, The Wine and Cheese Cellar in Tehachapi.
For those that don't know their California geography, Tehachapi is located at nearly 4,000 feet in elevation, roughly 35 miles east, southeast of Bakersfield just off of Highway 58. Chances are, if you've driven to Las Vegas from Fresno, you've driven through Tehachapi.
One highlight of The Wine and Cheese Cellar is the OzBar, a by-the-glass tasting system. The OzBar is a wine dispensing system that allows open wines to be kept at ideal temperatures (both reds & whites) under a closed airtight system. This allows the wine to maintain its integrity for a much longer period of time than just an open bottle pour that most wineries and wine bars utilize. As a result people enjoy the highest quality of a particular wine - taste after taste.
There is also a full kitchen at The Wine and Cheese Cellar. I've met with Chef and his staff. They're creating wine pairings and unique, local menus using locally grown and pastured products, like ostrich. They recently had a sell-out ostrich brunch event (which was way cool).
We're very happy to be featured at the Wine and Cheese Cellar. So stop by for a glass of Mastro Scheidt and say hello to the friendly people at:
